Visual Alchemy

Visual Alchemy is where I move beyond the photograph.

Using my images as a foundation, I work with materials such as encaustic wax, plaster, paint, and wood to transform each piece into something tactile and layered. The process is intuitive and experimental, guided more by feeling than by rules.

Some works are built up with texture and depth.
Others are softened, partially erased, or reimagined entirely.

I’m drawn to the tension between control and unpredictability, to the way materials react, resist, and sometimes lead the process in unexpected directions.

Each piece becomes a one-of-a-kind artwork —
not just an image, but an object.

A photograph that has been lived with, altered, and reshaped over time.
