“When the Japanese repair broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something has suffered damage and has a history, it becomes more beautiful.”
I connect strongly with this quote about the Japanese art of Kintsugi. My purpose in my photographs is to fill all the broken gaps with gold, and to show your inner beauty.
This is how I live my life, and the way I work as well. While I photograph people, I love to find their story, and to connect with them.
I’m in love with everything what is old, odd, or different; I find these things beautiful. I transform these old things and give them a new life.
